Sálmur Icelandic Horses is a classical gaited horsemanship venture based in Oldham County, KY, specializing in Icelandic Horse training, coaching & sales. It is owned by Mackenzie Durbin, who has spent her life in many different kinds of saddles but has intensively dedicated the last six years to Icelandic Horses.

Mackenzie’s sensitivity to the individuality and history of each horse makes her a dynamic, versatile trainer & instructor. She prides herself in taking the time with each client to ensure confidence, ride-ability and gait improvement. She believes that, for lasting results, both horse & rider need to be equally engaged in training with effective instruction and physical conditioning.
